Unit 2, Lions Rest
Today I sorted the colours for my second batch of labels. There were almost too many to choose from, settling for a selection, olive green, gold and fuchsia, each individually on a pale duck egg background.
Ready for collection tomorrow, Busy day!
Vintage Moygashel&Saunderson Linen
Fabrics for SantStudio.
The dark green/gold linen is a vintage Moygashel from Northern Ireland. Established in 1795 it is well known for being the best quality Irish linen you can get hold of. They use the 'soft water from the Mourne Mountains to soften the flax'!
The blue floral is a Vintage Saunderson print. Founded in 1860, based in Islington, stocking imported homewares it wasn't until 1869 Aurthur Saunderson started commissioning his own prints. This must be one of them!

~House in the clouds~

Our future house! It can be found in Thorpeness which is a beautifully quaint but odd village by the seaside in Suffolk, built by a barrister in 1910 as a holiday get away destination. It has everything, golf, swimming pool, boating lake, tennis courts, ice creams, ducks, antique shop ect and its right on the beach, perfect!

Woodbridge and Back

After a mini break in London and a trip to Woodbridge I arrived back in Exeter with a big smile and an order for the bags from SantStudio. After a friendly meeting with the lovely ladies, we decided on quantity and they gave me some amazing vintage floral linen to start producing my next range! There will be photographs shortly.
When back in Devon I went to a vintage rag fair in Honiton where I found bags fulls of beautiful fabric and met a lady who deals in antique French linen. With an invite I hope to visit her studio soon!
